A Calling From God

By Elizabeth M. Dunaj

At first there is uncertainty

A mistake you don’t want to make

For the calling from God is so precious,

Not for granted to take.

So I pondered for awhile

Then deeply start to think

For the presence of the Lord

Is in my every blink.

At first, yes, uncertainty,

Could HE truly want ME?

So unworthy tis true …

But…called you He did do.

I am here Lord

To do with as you please.

Your Will I will follow

Your Word will I heed.

Oh, what do I do Lord,

When words won’t form,

And all they do

Is come out like a storm?

I will read from a small book,

Words from another,

Oh, how I wish I could share

My fear with a Brother.

Will they laugh?

Will they frown?

Will they hear?

Or will they tear me down?

Will their tongue be so fierce

That they tear me apart?

Or amidst all my trembling

Will they hear with their hearts?

With hope I will do my best

I will read out of The Book

And you Dear Lord

Will do the rest.

If their heart do hear,

I know you are with me

In every spot.

Your answers to my prayers

Are proof enough,

I know you chose me

And I will be tough.

I will do your Will, Lord

No matter what they say

And every moment of my like

With you will I talk and pray.

It’s true , at first there is uncertainty,

A mistake not wanting to make.

But when you know Gods calling,

It’s a GIFT you’ll gladly take.

this is so touching, comforting if you can hear his voice amidst the confusion.

Fear not what others say dear girl. Put your trust in Him, and in Him alone. Listen to the still small voice for it will be He who is talking to you.

Very thoughtful and heartfelt and TRUE.

In this world with all its glamor and noise you are fortunate to hear His calling as few are listening these days. God bless you.

A good portrayal of the struggle within, culminating in gladly taking that GIFT. It isn't always easy to speak for the Lord, but you understand the power behind submitting to Him.
