The glass gleamed reflected light
Rays of sunne off glazed pane
Tinted darkly revealing nothing
Yet shining brightly in the noon day sunne

The bitter rains and thundering hails fall
From darkened skies and glass dim
And the tint is torn by sharp icey edges
And as the sunne shines forth again nothings the same

The tint is gone and the glass is clear
Revealing everything from hatred to fear
A swirl mass of emotion turmoil and distress
Liken to the darkness released from Pandora's box

The pane is scratched and the truth is revealed
What lies beneath the glazed reflective suface
The deceptions and misconception of a human soul
A fake illusion of smoke and mirrors scratched

And vile truths revealed of dark despair
Entangled with rage and fear fed by primal lusts
Apon which the fallen dance a merry jig
Another a despondant music plays a dirge

Yet like the box Pandora opened
The little light in the crevice of a corner
Shines and mayhaps even could be freed
Maybe hope a light in pitch can heal this heart scratched.

"Here comes the SON,li'l darlin'!" Prepare to HEAL!

"Scratched" is a beautiful piece, Richard, that caused me to recall a storm-fractured stained glass window in a particular House of Worship.

Everyone had their own idea of what should be done. But eventually, all the saints gathered as one, set aside their personal differences, and in one accord, worked together until the colors were all pefectly restored. The window was again breathtaking.. and it bore the Image of the One who had restored THEM!

YES...IT IS AFTER THE 'STORMS' THAT ONE CAN SEE CLEARER...AFTER THE WATERS REVEALS SO MUCH...NOTHING IS LEFT 'HIDDEN'. THE DAMAGE...THE 'SCRATCH' THAT ONE SUSTAINS...TAKE A LONG TIME TO HEAL...BUT...MAYBE... WELL WRITTEN WITH TERRIFIC IMAGERY THAT CORRELATES THE STORM TO LIFE. THANKS FOR SHARING. BLESSINGS
