There is a hollow  of red brown sadness

In the split  heart an infinite tear

An  ache that can never be satiated

The emptiness of a leaky heart

Holding love like water through a sieve

Mourning the long dead hope of us

Memories that never happened

Dreams that vanished like the days

A shadow self remains

As a woman I am the nurturer, the giver, the lover,

The love pours out like blood

And my life silently drains out slowly as I give

Will runs thin, and hearts wither in the darkness

There is a limit to even the greatest strength

Every font must be again renewed

If one could only find sustenance in in a world

Too rushed, too selfish, and too cold

To wipe the tears of those who suffer

Or heal  it's scarred and war-torn

Tell me who nurses the nurses

Who need only caring carefully applied

Poured forth generously to the wounds

To  heal one so deeply broken

Life is too much to give if you give

Yet too long and sorrowful to ignore

The sad state of affairs here in paradise lost...

deep and"soul-full" writing and an honest portrayal of the coldness of the world today.. Your renewal will come from within.. and I can read between the lines that you are a survivor ! Great writing !
