Thinly Cracked

My heart is blind to love

It pours out gently weeping

upside down & thinly cracked

I fear it cannot hold you

In the broken mirrors of a past

Best believed as bad fiction

Who I am is transparent

If only because I've become a ghost

Watching my own life slip away

What is left may just be a memory

A soft song lingering in warm summer air

That touches the moment & slowly fades

Forgotten so often, I hardly remember

Who I was before fear

the beautiful thing about life and love is that despite ourselves... they will keep on offering themselves to us, always ready for rebuilding and renewing..

The effects of abuse run so deeply it sometimes seems that is all there is. There IS more look to your heart, there you will find it.
Warmth and Love to you.

Emotional and wondering write.
After reading this...I felt the words came from a person whom lost a tremendous love in their lives...and felt they could not go forward in love ever.
