You are the warm comfort of home

The arms that hold my hope close

Lips that speak in hot breathiness

Promises of longly sensous nights

You are the strongly prideful stubbornness

A man who would share himself but never be owned

Who can give love & loyalty but never be controlled

That will stay only if held with open hands

We are untame wild things that dare to live out loud

You & I fires that meet  stretching high to brightly burn

Ghosts of yesterday with light tomorrows

Our futures lie stretched out like a bed unmade

To create looking outward together before we are too old

For growing into better selves  together

Looking into the magic in your eyes that soften just for me

I melt in even the most tense of times reflecting on

How incredibly lucky we are  to have found a match

What dreams may come &  what dreams may fade

The world will deal out indiscriminately good times &  difficult ones

And even the depest of loves isn't always sweetness

It takes all you have to give,  but gives all you need

Rising to the challenge is a pleasure with you

However our lives may turn out

Shared together or lived divided back to you & I

We are the blessed few that can for now at least hope

That tomorrows could be lived as ours
