After reading THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE by Rick Warren, I finally figured it out. A Poem reflective of my life today.

Painting by L. K. Craft

As I child, I lived the way of my parents.

As a teen, I was captured by friends.

As a young adult, I fell for the wrong person.

But today, I serve only HIM.

Reflections of yesterday’s vision,

Sad memories of empty times,

Filled with glitter and polyester moments,

All theatrical, the shallow kind.

Today I live for my Creator,

Fully acknowledging all that He gives,.

His Son died for my transgressions.

Now I celebrate that He does live..

What a powerful and beautiful testimony to your awareness and acceptance of HIM.
I too was changed after reading "The Purpose Driven Life."
It is so amazing how HE uses any and everything to capture our attention at just the right time in our lives.
Continued success.

Yes, we live in a plastic society. God is real and Jesus makes life worth living. Purpose Driven Life is an awesome interactive book. You have learned well and your heart is revealed through your poetry.

I love this because it's simple, but not sappy. You sum things up extremely well and succinctly. I can relate -- I've been there. Here's to a purposeful life! JD
