****This is an excerpt from my children's book "What Will It Take For A Toad To Kiss A Monkey" being published by PublishAmerica now available for purchase.****

I was waiting by the road
To catch my ride
When along hopped a toad
And attached to my side.

Now, what could he have been thinking?
From what pond has this silly frog been drinking?
Oh, Mr. Toad, give me an inkling
But alas, not a winkling.

So there I was, now in reverse mode
Attached to my side
With this one ugly toad
I wanted to go and hide.

I suppose
You know
Mr. toad
That you're exposed.

Don't you need to go
Hop, Hop, Hop away
Come back another day
Go be with other toads to meet
Where there are plenty of bugs to eat.

And he
Looked at me
With his lips undone
And a flip of his tongue. . . . . .

"I thought I had one!"

I did read and review your book listing. So now I believe I have read most all of your writes on the den. Keep them coming in your spare time and let us be encouraged by your writes. The children who read this book should get a very good insight into theirselves by reading it. Thanks a lot, my friend.,

It's so lovely when children's books are well written, which isn't always the case. I think that it is important that children love reading not just for the story, but for the love of language and literature. I have enjoyed reading this!
