Curtain Call (A Second Bow)
I worm must die
For a butterfly to fly
The old must step aside
For the new to reside
So when this earthly concert ends
After numerous encores momentarily suspends
The curtain from falling
After humbly bowing , the grasshopper flies click click clicking away
As the locus gather – invading - coming together to hunt for prey.
When the last note is orchestrated
And the instruments put away
Wiped clean, in their cases they now stay
Till the Maestro yearns to hear them play – once again.
The world doesn’t stop
But continues to go
When they’ll drop
And be placed where they’ll go
My pocket watch I might as well discard
As I escape flickering through the back yard
Any footprints eternity washes away
Such a long long long seven days – it has been.
Preordained – He will call
Prearranged – Kingdoms’ hall
For His good pleasure
Buried inside His Royal Treasure.
Old man stubborn of change
Young man been entertained
As the children gather around
Their tiny little ears hear every sound
Their tiny little brains discern
And quickly learn
It comes to them inherently.
Their earthly concert has just begun.
Life is a cymbal – go out and bang it loudly.
