Fear grows
For reasons unknown
I search
And can not fathom
What’s found
Down at the bottom
Love ties
I’ve cut and severed
To end
Sorrow I’ve suffered
Low feeling
From low chemistry
That makes
Pain continue endlessly

Thank you for sharing these feelings. You, more than most, know the emotions you express here all too well. I like the title and the last line because they show the depth of your feelings and how there's no escape from them. I continuously think of you as both victim and champion of bipolar illness. I hope you see yourself as champion of it sometimes, too! Love and Hugs to you~

Liz, this is exquisite writing. I don't have words to add to what the others have already said. Just know I understand...

You chose a very fitting format for this poem and the feelings it conveys of something that holds you down, of sorrow that drags you to the bottom. Writing and communicating with other writers can certainly bring lighter feelings and positive thoughts. I hope so...

Amazingly succinct resume of the downward spiral that resounds with so much power, speaking into our conscious and unconscious dark bits. It's tough deciding when enough IS, in fact, enough, but knowing that the only way to go thereafter is up puts iron in the soul. But I do know all too well the feeling of that lead in the boots which then infiltrates all your bones, too. There is no pain like emotional pain, that's for sure. Wishing you parting heavens and great updraughts of sunshine and joy to transport you to a happy place. All tunnels come to an end eventually. Bless you, Kate xx

Been there, Liz. Did the low chemistry come after the cut ties, or did the chemistry cause the of the questions I have to ask myself. You've struck a resonant chord for many here...Jerry

There is no worse feeling than fear, it is so emotionally crippling, and physically paralizing....I can feel the anguish in your words well penned about seeking closure & I hope it's doors open & embrace you in your journey

Powerful write here, fear of closeness of intimacy is something i have had to overcome, thank you for sharing
God Bless

The fear of intimacy is like a clam being torn from its shell. Your words touch a cord with "flight risk" - relationships that parachute way too soon. Hold on to the feeling a little longer Liz, pull the ripcord a little higher...add layers to the mood...body chemistry is elevated by hormones and pheromones...I sense a vast striving for connection here...good moon viewing and casting fate to the winds will boost your chemistry keeping with your craft of poetry...take care.

Love Always,

You reach out and grab my heart with this one. Time needed to gather inner strength and really see that beautiful, strong person in the mirror.....
