You bring us to this awful scene with your vivid imagery, Liz. I like the contrast of emotions in this poem; walking with your grandbaby in innocence, and then viewing the destruction of innocence. You seem to be "back" with this poem...maybe a bit? Hope so. You've been on my mind. Love and Hugs,

Such a damning statement of our "evil oily" ways, Liz. Believe me. I know this from my fight with oil companies. Thank you. Love, hugs, and best wishes to you and to you grand daughter,

| So very sad. And I hope our new leaders now pursue alternative energy, as they claim they finally will, or this horrendous scene will be repeated, over and over again, through your granddaughter's entire lifetime. |

It is sad we often get so immune to so much talking about action for the defence of our environment that after a while our ears go deaf and our eyes go blind and perhaps it takes the children who will be the adults of tomorrow to renew our hope.

Wonderful sentiments and thoughts, but our fate I am afraid is in the hands of those that lobby in behalf of the oil industry. Maybe a little common sense and less greed would help too...
Be always safe,

Elizabeth,
In the beginning I felt your pleasure walking with your granddaughter.
But I had to cry at the end. Because although we hope it won't happen, we know it might. What are we doing to ourselves! This really touched me.
