Oh, to struggling...

The Stone

There is a stone sitting on a ridge
A beautiful view, it hid
I pushed against that stone
Day after day
Wanting that view as my own

But never an inch would that stone budge
No matter what I did, not even a nudge
Finally I pondered that stone’s position
And following my great suspicion
I sat myself upon the stone
And then that view was my own

All that time I did waste
All that work done in haste
For some things in life can’t be shoved
So it’s better just to rise above

What a beautiful insight, Liz. Yes, like "the stone" that wouldn't budge, sometimes, the most important things in our lives are just there, waiting to be discovered; the most beautiful scenes are just there, waiting to be seen. Blessings to you.

Sheri
