|Succinctly stark and real, Liz; I also posted a poem on that theme entitled, "Death in the Guld" which is posted here at AD. Love and best wishes,

|We have been "on the same page" these past few days, Liz... Makes me think of The Rich Man (was it?!) in hell, craving just a drop of water on the tip of his parched tongue to be dispensed from heaven by Lazarus.... The way things are going, it would be good if science could quickly come up with the means by which to raise things from the dead down here.... Hope things are well with you and your neck of the woods. Kate xx|

|TELL 'em, Liz !!
I can't stand to watch news reports re the oil spill. SO depressing!
Maddening!!! Graft, corruption, and incompetency trashed New Orleans, now it is ruining the Gulf. And, of course, the spilled oil is not going to stay there. I don't remember being this discouraged about what is happening in this country. Will we ever stop allowing
Greed to rule????
Love that you boiled the situation down to its essence.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

|Very well said, I can see this as a banner and rallying point for protests everywhere for it says it all in as simple a denominator as possible to make the point.
