November 2, 2006

One year ago on this very day
God received an angel who suddenly passed away
It's been a difficult year living without you
Family, friends, and memories helped me get through
Days I still wonder and keep asking why
I was left with a void in my heart that makes me cry
In that I find strength to keep moving on
Because you're still my inspiration even though you're gone
Though I can't see you I know where you are
Your presence is around me so I know you're not far
With time I will get myself together piece by piece
I miss you mother as you continue to rest in peace
