Silence is essential for learning because silence teaches from within...

The Silences:

I’m well versed in

the silences of evil:

the quiet sarcasm

the look

the derision

the sneer

I know well

the movement away

the withdrawal from the touch

the taste of disgust

I am aware

of the tones

of the threats

detachments of the heart

But in the same silences

I hear in the hush

of the understandings

of Wisdom

in conversations

Love with Love

Truth with Truth

Light from Light

and like breath

I draw in Life

and like water

I drink from the Living Source

in the silences

Human Potential and Its Shadow
