This poem uses the 10-word challenge by Contemporary Verse2: 1. Vessel 2. Filament 3. Proof 4. Article 5. Thorax 6. Wrench 7. Buckle 8. Sienna 9. Rattle 10. Nervous

Poured Vessel:

but for the filament of light

…sure proof of hope

entering a flagellated thorax

and pierced heart.

What plea would wrench such love

to buckle the sinews of your mercy

and gather all to the lifted tree?

Attested article of Truth and Triumph!

In the throws of death

you rattle sienna bones

and skulls out of their tombs.

Be nervous to the quick

o my soul:

the ways of living now

the ways of dying then.
