How much happier we are when we learn to accept things as they are. |
|
Rain…oh, how I wish it would rain.
Such a dry summer
it has been.
Cool…oh, how I wish it were cool.
Such a hot summer
it has been.
Snow…oh, how I wish the snow would end.
Such a white winter
it has been.
Warm…oh, how I wish it were warm.
Such a cold winter
it has been.
Accept…oh, how I must accept
the weather as it comes,
for, in its own time, it will change.
Then, I will wish it were different, still.

This is a very special poem that paints a picture about being satisfied with the way things are every day and accepting every season.
Well done! |

You express a lot of wise thought in your verses, Virginia; certainly "stuff" to ponder upon. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

| Yep. That about sizes it up. Blasting toe-warming air into the car in winter, and catching cold from the freezing blasts of the A/C in summer. We're crazy.--Charlie |

Virginia,
How very true this is. We never seem to be satisfied. Funny how our expectations always seem to outweigh reality. Excellent write. Blessings Always, Paul. |
