We all wanted to go home for Christmas.
We formed lines in Korea to talk with families on phones provided by Red Cross Volunteers. Mama never talked, We only
cried. I knew I was loved and my work was pleasing in Gods' sight.
My phone time expired. Mama then said, "Hurry home, we need you," and in a very weak voice she said, "I am praying for all of you". Merry Christmas, Mama. Hug Daddy for me. I will be home soon, before next Christmas, I'm sure.
In the spring when I returned, I found Mama and Daddy with the physical and mental infirmities of old age.
I could not see across the oceans. I may have been a better caretaker if I had been allowed to go home for Christmas that year.
Christmas has not been the same since Mama and Daddy went Home to be with the Lord. I still have the memories of the tears of pain and joy of our last Christmastime together.
~~~Pray for our troops~~~~
Merry Christmas to all and a Joyful Life !
Keep your Faith in Jesus Christ!
