Poem about joy stealing
|
The Confessions of a Joy Stealer
I am the judge of how happy you should be
I'll not allow you to be as happy as me.
I take great pleasure in denying you your emotional treasure
I feel exuberation when I ruin your celebration
When you feel glad, I like making you sad.
For I had to be bad to be noticed, so says Otis.
And how do you stop a joy stealer you ask?
As you know, that is not a simple task.
For many joy stealers are members of your family,
from whom you can not run, can not hide and can not flee
So my advice to you to say, the next time someone tries to steal your joy away,
"The joys of life are far and few.
I'd rather keep my joy and be rid of you.
So do not stay. Go away.
Maybe I'll talk to you another day.
And then maybe I won't."

| I do my own thing, whatever family members think. I do not like joy stealers as you so say. I tell them when they don't hear from me I am happy, when I bother them with troubles they don't like it either. They are far and few and life is too short to not do as you want to do. Live your life clean and as you see it to be free. |
