If you are new to my poetry it will not take long for you to discover that my topics are all family oriented. Four Little Words was written the day our daughter gave us our first granddaughter. Hope you enjoy!!!
|
Four little words were spoken. Oh! how they changed my life. You have a girl they whispered as they placed you in my arms.
I counted all your fingers and touched your little toes, I stared into your precious face and kissed your button nose.
No one could have prepared me for the love I felt that day. You were the gift so long awaited, a perfect child God had created.
The years have passed and here we are your sweet child on her way, soon you'll feel that deep-felt love you'll feel it everyday.
So listen for those little words when you become a mother. They'll place her in your waiting arms, your darling little daughter....
