A Garden Tryst

Become a Fan

In the silence of the garden,
pale moonlight streamed down
upon the lovers, casting a soft
glow upon their faces.

Droplets of dew clung like teardrops
to the fragrant pink rose he so
thoughtfully tucked into her hair
of golden blonde.

His ancient vows of love echoed in her
mind long after their garden tryst.
Clad in a gown of satin and lace,
she joined with him in a dream born
in a figment of her imagination.
