| Let's see, wasn't it Homer who referred to those people living in the Canary Islands as the people of the "fortunate clime"? The times I have been in Florida were times in which it could be termed that way, also. But here in my Kansas the wind can rip through every which way, and change more than once daily. It is difficult for we people of the south wind to go where there is no breeze. But, yes, it's changing here, too..............Jerry |

This weather keeps me puzzled
It’s never the same each year
There was a time when we could
Count on the sameness of the seasons
I can relate, Jeanette. The seasons and the weather are not at all the way they used to be around here either. Love and best wishes to you,

WELL...YOU'RE IN FLORIDA WHICH MEANS YOU DON'T USUALLY GET THE COLD WEATHER BUT TO TELL THE TRUTH...I AM 'PRAYING' FOR A VERY, VERY COLD WINTER. SEEMS, WHEN IT'S REAL COLD, LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE WINTER, WE DON'T HAVE SO MUCH VIRUSES FLYING AROUND DURING THE REST OF THE YEAR. THIS IS JUST AN 'OLD LADY'S' PERSONAL OPINION. IN ANY CASE, NEITHER ONE OF US CAN DO A THING ABOUT THE WEATHER...SO THERE!(SMILE). THANKS FOR SHARING, JEANETTE AND BLESSINGS.

| I quit complaining about the weather years ago / I've gotten to the point in my life that I am just happy to wake up in the morning, no matter what the weather is outside. Haha We are cool down here in the Louisiana swamp too, a lot of rain dropped on us last night. |

There's religion. There's politics. But nothing beats weather.
I live in San Diego, one of the most temperate climates in our nation, and I love it. But it's very benefit to us all also takes away the majority of short elevator conversations. It's like the eleven o'clock TV weatherman says: "Same old same old. And now to the news..."
Enjoy your change of seasons, dear Jeanette.

You wouldn't like Texas weather: it can't make up its mind! Rainy and chilly one day, sunny and warm the next, severe storms and back to rainy. 13" last month, nearly that much this month. Know one thing: turning into a duck *quack*! LOL Richly imaged, vividly penned, the capriciousness of the changing of seasons. Well done, Jeanette.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. |

yeah, and I'm not ready for it! It's the same way here in TX. One day it's sunshining and perfect temp and the next it's raining and 50's. Go figure!
I know the last time we had a Fall like this one, we had ice all Winter long. I can only hope that is not the case this year. We'll see.
Good work Jeanette.

Sounds like Texas weather, excepting we've had an overabundance of rain. Flooding rains, flooding going on south of here. Crazy weather patterns! Finally supposed to dry out later today before the next cold front/disturbance comes. *Sighhhh* Don't mind the fronts, but I don't like the disturbances!! Great write, Jeanette; well done! (Send us some of that cold stuff! And pray WE have a cold winter; we haven't had a decent winter since 1983, long before I ever came to Texas!! I came to Texas ten years ago. And I DON'T like Texas AT all!!)
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( |

| Jeanette, I will be visiting my mother in Ocala again in less than a few weeks. I talked with her yesterday, but she didn't mention the weather. Although when I talked to her the middle of the week last week, she had said it was hot! In any event, it will be a lot warmer than it is here in northern Italy! Beautiful writing and imagery! |
