It has been a week of tragedy here in the mountains. Shortly after I posted my blog this morning I discovered that a dear and long time friend of mine was found dead. We are unsure of what happened, maybe a heart attack...my heart is heavy as I write...for she will missed by all who knew her...missed by me.

this poem has been removed as it will appear in my upcoming book

Joyce, perhaps she was more than a friend, a sister, your feminine soul mate, the one that knew, looking into your eyes what your heat felt. She will missed but not forgotten, because the remembrance candle will be lighted forever.
Sorry about the lost.

I am sad for you, but you have done such a beautiful job, I can't help but take pleasure from reading the piece. The details you
include -- maternity clothes, recipes, gossip, fact that your children are the same age -- make your relationship come alive. It is obvious that it will always b e alive. While you have lost each other in the physical sense, you will always have each other's love and support. What a wonderful tribute to you both!! Brava & Brava!!! xOx 'Pea' xOx

This part of life, sucks bigtime. Yet it is the price of life, loving and living and dying. I so relate after losing a longtime mate, of just 40.
One must go through the grief, then enjoy the wonderful memories. Until it's our turn.
A sad time for you, may your heart find relief....
