A life story, being set free.

Bird Set Free

Caught by life’s intrigue,
A snare that most know,
Senses awakened,
By smell, touch, or prose.
Eyes discern beauty,
Cast looks to their den,
Hearts captivated,
By minds and by man.
The cage holds their victims,
Along journeys end,
Will it be foe,
Or will it be friend?
Life does not promise,
It teaches to trust,
Birds in a cage,
See things as unjust.
As a metronome clicks,
To sounds like a swing,
Is birthing a plan,
To make a bird sing.
A novel believed,
Yes, naivety,
But keys to the door,
That set the bird free.
Now flying high,
To a distance beyond,
Hope, love, forgiveness,
Help make this bird strong.

SOME 'BIRDS' DON'T REALIZE THE RESTRICTIONS THAT A CAGE IMPOSES ON THEM. BUT WHEN THE DOOR IS OPENED AND THEY FLY OUT...IT IS ONLY THEN THAT THEY CAN REALIZE THE CRUELTY OF THEIR CAPTIVITY AND THE RICH BLESSINGS OF THEIR FREEDOM. A FINE METAPHOR THAT IS SO WELL DONE, THEREA...VERY WELL DONE. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

The great metaphor for those who are trapped in a bad marriage. It is only until they can find the keys in the door that they can fly free.

On the other hand, a green parrot once landed on my deck close to my sliding glass door where I could observe for a while. After he flew off, I learned that there were large colonies of green parrots in the area. It's great when you see caged birds fly free.
