In the 1960's the USA and the UK tested atomic bombs on the edge of space, close to the Earth. Did they disturb time, create time distortions?..

There are no capital letters apart from the one starting the verse. No punctuation, it is to be read as the reader sees fit.

How green The Weeping Willow
whose tresses caress
the gentle brooks flow
how yellow the King Cup
bright as new churned butter
‘neath the Willows weeping bough

How swift the King Fisher
dropping like a stone
having spied a little fish
thus returning to the Willow
flicks back its bluish head
quaffs down its swift caught dish

How gurgles the gentle brook
between its grassy banks
girded by trodden path
how merry the little children
skipping in joyous play
their voices a merry laugh

How beautiful the Sky Lark
wings towards the sky
singing his joyful notes
to join the happy children
some to fish with net and jar
others to sail their paper boats

A gentle scene a happy scene
when all was peace and joy
seen now in minds old age
when once it was a boy

I do hope you check your reviews now and again... Your poem a perfect capturing of a moment of summer revelry! Better than any Polaroid!

...wonderful write...where visions of youth are held...and return again and again...in the wise heart...of an old soul.

well done Robert...

Your words flow as naturally as the feelings behind them - nothing feels strained or contrived. Excellent.
