A simple life pursued by the world's beauty.

A Beautiful Day

This cool weather blowing life

Into my warmth swollen bones

Such a beautiful day

Fixed the old clunker hopefully

No repeat of the hood flying up

Sixty miles an hour on the rainy highway

Next stop a laundromat

My working clothes in need of help

An hour later I’m on my way

The pawn shop really didn’t need

More payment until this months end

I’d lost my receipts thought it was today

While on the way to the Dollar Store

Some provisions to last this week

Roadways alive with colors all along the way

Above the periwinkles low and blue

Black Eyed Susans in huge clusters swayed

What happiness lies in wait on such a beautiful day

A strong reminder of the our individual joys. Glass 1/2 empty or 1/2 full? In this case, obviously full. The contrast in itself is glorious. Afterall, what is of true value? ... the Black Eyed Susans, of course. ... Jerelyn
