| As tanka go, this piece is very good...in conjunction with the art, the total package is outstanding. |

I see my comment follows a group of my favorite poets here at Author's Den, and mine will not be the last, I am sure. You've made me dig a little deeper into the words and strict form of your Tanka, rare poetry regardless of the placement and numerics...one image vs. the countless in "life's parade". I want to know which came first, the fantastic photograph or was it the words created to enhance the scene and cause the mind to drift to a bigger picture. The Tanka allows you as the creator and the inquisitive reader an almost puzzle-like form with a mind meaning inadvertently designed for every "stroll" (great word choice here, Butch).
What a perfect way to return and treat your devoted readers with something very special.
Love,
Taylor |

What a net package of observing nature! Your writing is still good and improving. I endorse every word said before and after mine. Give us more... more often. - Bill

Precise and crisp!
A delightful symbiosis between the image and your words Butch.
Hope all is well, and that you are healthy and happy.
Seems no one is on this site as often as they used to be.
Blessings ...

Through aquatic eyes...gills and fins restore each breath we take as we co-exist with life's aqua marine life, Serengeti on the plains, cattle on the range, and elk rutting season...yes indeed, Butch, life's parade strolls on by, but then you and I march to the beat of a different drum, don't we? Be well...have a wonderful fall season...I've missed you...
Love,

| Butch, your poetry is so special because it allows the reader to get involved. The images inspiring your words may not be the ones we think of when we read your words, but they are quite lovely....thanks for sharing your poetry with me. Lydia |
