New feeling of warmth
I find from within

Quiet the whisper,
Haunting it stirs,
A place from the past.
faded and torn.

A place of tomorrow
A new ray of hope?
mingled with fears
forgotten, the past.

Forgotten in time.
Memory long lost
Dreams long discarded
Stirring at last.

Feelings of floating
light as the clouds
Softly they circle
I open my eyes

Slowly, awakened
From a safe hiding place,

My haven of shadows,
Old caverns of pain.
Long silent sleep,
To deep for the dreams.

The light grows brighter,
As shadows they fade
past the old pains
Beyond to the dreams..

Place of old hopes,
unanswered prayers
long been discarded,
by my own heart.

In order to go on,
In order to survive.

Images at first, that of a ghost
disappeared from attempts
If ever I reached ,
too close the touch.

My mind,.. Has known,
No secrets lie there.
That safe place of hiding,
was that of a cloak..

It works for a time,
Allows for the space,
To continue the climb,
without fear of the pain,

And all the while,...Secret the dreams.

You have no clue..
Where you have touched.
That once long ago
When I had still dreamed
One day I gave up,
That Day I proclaimed...

I whisperd a prayer
What I thought to be fact,
A day long ago, and long since forgot.

If in his plan
my life was to be shared,

That I had, wished for a partner
That knew how to live,
That had qualities,
Of truth and of heart,
That new what was love.

That could laugh, but could cry,
Could share and could listen
That was strong in himself
For all that he was.
A man who could protect
without need to own,
who would know in his heart
what loyalty gives.
To allow for all others,
To be of themselves.
To be giving, and trusting
And to be a best friend.

Someone to love me,
the way I would love him.

One day I accepted
The thought to be truth,
That what I had asked for
was only a dream.

Should those qualities exist in another,
Silent the hope,
sometime, somewhere...

I asked for no other,
no more, nor less
than all the things,
I strive for myself.

I gave up that day,
As I whispered my prayer,
No longer I asked,
I did though declare,

"Dear Lord,
If you have some where in your plan,

For my life to be shared,
That I not be alone,
I no longer have heart, or know where to look.
I no longer know how, I accept and give up
So if you have someone special in mind,
you'll need to deliver him here to my door,
as I really can't handle the pain in this hope,
I can't handle at all, the dream anymore"

I settled that day,
My life as my own,
My safe harbor
shadows of dark..lonley no more
slumbering heart.

Until one day...

You show up at my door.
Awaken the dreams, forgotten the prayer.

Emerged from the shadows
Old Caverns of pain
An Answer?
Dreams long ago?

Perhaps you are?
Destiny?, Fate?

I had not known
Not until now,
the depths of that sleep, that place in the dark,
the place, I had believed to be safe.

New hope, New warmth,
Bright shinning new light
New freedom to dream
Free of the dark.

What ever the outcome

I can believe
It's still ok, ..risking to dream

Some Lessons are learned time and time again..
And in those lessons, You can believe you had found some strenght,, only to find out when it comes time to risk, that the lesson you learned, had been a new way to self protect..
To live , "is" to Risk~ Live all that you can.
