She left this life
at the peak of our love and lust
that was never diminished by

the mundane, the hectic,
the silent, too long married dinners,
missed promises,
misunderstanding resentment,
head turning flirtations
and time consuming and energy draining
life is a bitch
and every other little worldly bite
that eats love like a silent termite,
spreading decay.

At least, I have that.

A darn fine write. Gutsy. A no punches pulled hit at the truth where many couples are concerned. No matter how long they have been married.

Your poem is so gripping... accuate, and sad.
Please tell me that it is a master composition, and not reality.
