How true this is. I love the last two lines:
They are the dupes of Satan
Swinging his sword of fear.

The first line of the THE BLACK GURADS' introduction made me go back twenty-four centuries of history. "Religions in my opinion are generally well intentioned." A thought flourished: The creation (Founding) of THE HOLY MAMMONITE CHURCH OF THE PLUTOCRATIC SAINTS OF THE SEVEN DAYS, (SEVEN, not The Seventh) --to unite all servants of the "wealth intentioned leaders of SATAN".
Let me talk about the poem: It seems that a revision of the sixth stanza will help readers understand it better.
I have enjoyed the reading of "The Black Guards". It stimulates the desire to know the history of our times.
Thank You for sharing Your glowing brains, and Your artistic veins.
I salute You, Poet.

Hello Tom,
This is a poem about the DECEPTION of religion, and as a former Catholic raised from strict dogmatic theologically biased schools, I only came to know the truth when I read the Bible BY MYSELF, something that was forbidden for us to do by the nuns and priests, as they said "it might destroy our faith". Incidentally, if I may add, Born Again Christian men do not dislike women (where in the world did that come from!) as I know because I am now a Christian, thank God! "Catholicism is merely a coloration of common ignorance" is a very true statement, as most of us do not know who God really is and where we will go AFTER DEATH. All of us desire to know the truth, the Bible is there - we just need to read it.

Very good!
I was talking to some co-workers today about this, especially certain people we know who seem to dislike women (most often its men of the Born Again Christian persuasion who exemplify this) and I can totally relate to what you're saying in your poem. |

| It is hard for me to give a review on this. I read it, understand it but have not words to comment on it. |

Matters so incomplete
