Taken from the book titled "Truth By Testimony"

Men treat the woman, as you would have your daughterís treated.

Be as a blind man speaking to with a ray of light to share

                        You hopes and dreams.

Motherís teach daughters to love themselves and to preserve the temple

Known as body Ė for a child can have a baby

But only a woman can raise a man

Fatherís teach your sonís to respect the future Motherís of your

Grand children Ė for a fallen branch can break the back

                        Of a larger tree

Kindness has no shame Ė when given with no expectations in return

For there is no weakness in sharing Ė only strength

                        With respect

A man will give all of his wealth to preserve his health

So why not build a life of faith

                        That is base on wealth

Understanding the needs of otherís are the keys to success

For a helping hand will never be refused

You share much wisdom with us in this write Stanley. I especially like the lines,

Motherís teach daughters to love themselves and to preserve the temple
Known as body Ė for a child can have a baby
But only a woman can raise a man

I just a while ago discovered you reading about the poetry reading at Dog Wood Dell. Would that be Dog Wood Dell at Byrd Park in Richmond, Va. I am formerly from that area the fan by the Va Museum.
This piece of poetry is beautiful to say the least. It is a gift to be read and treasured. We are the teacher's in life... Wise wisdom...I so look forward to hearing more of your work.
