Hibernation

Seasons of change blow against the pain,
a cool chill frosts the glass,
the once vibrant heart hidden
by the ice that covers the window to my soul,
I fall to sleep, quiet hibernation,
forgetting what was, forgetting what is,
forgetting because if I don't
the glass should shatter into a million pieces
against the snow stained with blood tears,
tears that stood for love,
like a rose it's petals the deepest red,
tears that stood for hope,
like the sunrise that burns the mourning skies,
tears that stood for life,
life now lost to a season of change,
a cold November soul, wound slowly
by the thread of life it holds onto
fearful to let go, it swirls, it sways
through the winds of change
the winds that whisper your name,
the winds that answer me
when I call your name,
the winds that have frozen me
to the core of my bones,
black becomes the white,
white lost to death,
death given to life,
despite my soul's begging for mercy,
for love, for hope, silence falls,
echoes so softly my heart's beating
now in the safety of hibernation,
forgetting,
tears,
whispers,
love,
hope,
death,
life.
My voice once audible
to the human ear has lost it's sound,
yet still it screams so loud.
Seasons of change blow against the pain,
blood tears fall in sadness too much to bear,
I fall to silent hibernation
where no more will I know the seasons
that froze my soul.
Blood stain tears will mark my hiding place,
a safe haven from the winter of death's hand
as it appears, beckoning to me,
oh the pain,
the pain,
the pain,
like trees stripped
of their leaves,
it withers away
against the backdrop
of a sunset fallen
into the flames of hell,
an ocean void of life's breath,
a sky without it's moon
to guide the nighttime of my heart
that weeps in every breath of air
that warns me
of the oncoming seasons of change.
black becomes the white,
white lost to death,
death given to life,
despite my soul's begging for mercy,
for love, for hope, silence falls,
echoes so softly my heart's beating
now in the safety of hibernation,
forgetting,
tears,
whispers,
love,
hope,
death,
life.

nice work...your thoughts are filled with the emotions of life, from life to tears to death...forgetting pain in seclusion is as the cold hibernation you write of...

nice...
