I wrote this to be the lyrics of the closing song of He Came! -- A science fiction movie based on an unfinished novel by my friend Sanjay Sonawani. I couldn't help but be aware of its similarity to a real life event.

Closing Song
(music and lyrics by Randall Raus)
We're gonna soar
among the stars,
and we'll fly
to Jupiter and Mars.
And we'll build
a spaceship that works,
and teach
the people on Earth.
We're going to merge
the old and the new,
that means we'll fly
with Mercury for fuel.
We'll learn ancient
technologies,
and ride space's
magnetic fields.
We will bridge
the East and the West,
and transcend
sorrow and happiness.
Our minds will surge
with power and force,
when we tune in
the whole universe.
Mysteriously,
I knew what to do,
I was there
when the spaceship fell through.
I'm a second
generation Brahmin,
I'll help us attain
a state that's supreme.
We're gonna soar
among the stars,
and we'll fly
to Jupiter and Mars.
We're gonna build
a spaceship that works,
and explore
the whole universe.
