[in the glass I pour the echo and observe]
(this title is actually the transcription of the first line of a poem by my friend and Portuguese fellow author Xavier Zarco, which inspired the work I’m now happy to share with you.)
upon the brim of the poem I write the word
body
the old tone of the river on the silent
margin of the skin
should you not know how the words glide
subvert
shred the body’s skin
the flesh
becomes
your own
beyond any word

love it when this happens, dearest amigo... when, from an "echo poured"... in turn "pours" a flow of inspiration! i've had the pleasure of reading not only this first "surge", but the whole series of poems ensued from Xavier's line, and my delight has been constant... but going greater, each time! :0)
