This verse of sanscrit poetry is older than most but captures an early love of the art; this is for all the poets and poets to be.

Would you drink elixir with your ear
or fashion phrases which the wise approve;

Would you reach the height of learning
or the farther shore of the stream of sentiments;

Would you eat the sweetest fruit that the tree of life can give?

Then brother hear the nectar dripping speech of the poet.

Good stuff, ty

Tone reminds me of:

“O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning”

Good one, HJ. I think, in a world where uncertainty and fear are so common, poetry is the safety line -- reason for the season and rhyme for the time. Kudos!
