The semi-arid regions of earth, like the Serengeti, can be so rich and full of life, or they can seem to go on forever, an endless torture. It's so presidential if you get the analogies. Sort of makes you want to go into politics or the egg business or have your own herd of square dancing chickens.Be a rich guy, save your resources.

Chickens of the Serengeti,
Settle down, and let's get steady,
Chickens to the left,
Chickens to the right,
Chickens to the middle,
And fight, fight, fight.
Chickens of the Serengeti,
Save your eggs like
J. Paul Getty,
Circle round that corner pullet,
Do-si-do her,
Work your gullet,
And stretch your legs,
Make really sure you
Lay those eggs.
Set very tight
On substantialities,
You hatch your eggs
With chicken ease.
Puck, puck, puck
In chicken rage,
Circle to the left,
Circle to the right,
Feather your nests,
Really, really tight.
Hold your beaks
In grins then nasty pout,
This is what chicken dancing
And elections are about.

Aptly called chickens but should have laid their eggs elsewhere and leave unspoiled the hospitable plains of Serengeti. Hope they read this piece Jerry.
Sincerely,
Regino |

I really enjoyed this--you need to publish it as an editorial with an accompanying political cartoon!
Best wishes in 2008,

Jerry,
LOL--too funny!!!! There they are, all a-cluckin' and not saying anything new. Don't trust a one of 'em running for office. They'll say anything to get elected, once in office, they leave us out in the heat to starve...well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, karla. |
