Two poems;-)

Morning Song

A bird sang your song to me this morning

it took my downcast mind and lifted it

right up to the sky, oh! how blessed am I

Even in the dark and  dreary rain

it sang your sweet refrain

each trill lifted me higher

as my thoughts caught the fire

of your bountiful love

The wind in the trees joined the song

my heart began to sing along

low and behold I was no longer depressed

my  wayward thoughts were now happily dressed

Thank you God!

~~*~~

Adios Adio Adieu

Majestic mountains in the morning mist

Tall pines reaching for heavens kiss

Wildflowers rampant in colorful schemes

Past wondrous  streams of winding dreams

All this surrounding an emerald lake

That  refreshes what the sun bakes

So vast and beautiful from shore to shore

Where ones equilibrium can be restored

A place  to recapture a lost smile

So I must say farewell for awhile

You know I'll miss you very much

I leave you with a loving touch

Adios Adio Adieu

May God graciously smile on you!

Exceptional poetry Tiger Lily!!!… It looks like beautiful Lake Tahoe? Anyway, I helped pave all those roads around Incline Village, Mt. Rose, Geiger Grade up into Virginia City, Dayton Gardnerville heck most of that area back in the 80’s… Had a great time there, can’t wait to go back someday soon!!!… Have fun and you’ll be sorely missed, Eileen!!!… Stop down in Reno and say hello to my sister and father!!!… lol!!!… Only kidding they are on the way here within the next few weeks or sooner.
