A Halloween offering;-)

The Vortex waited in all of it's
anointed virtue rotating with
gluttonous glee~like a vagrant vulture
ready to suck you into it's abhorrant
abyss with a vicious kiss

The ecosphere was fulminating with
vociferous volatility and vortex smiled
with a wide toothed grin and belched out gaseous laughter then sucked in a few stars and planetoids

Just an appetizer until she would reach
her full strength~in which her rotational
atomic like force made her vertiginous
vacuum suction too strong to resist

Then for the main course the virtuous
voracious vortex proceeds to inhale a
third part of the Universe~ in an event
of Apocalyptic proportions making
joyful contortions for which  purpose
she and Halloween had been born

etw~

This poem certainly has Va-va-voom of the portentous kind, Eileen... Unique and spicily alliterated to get the veins voluminous! Great spin on Halloween here, causing us to consider the inter-relationships and deeper relevence and implications of "innocent" evils. Most astutely crafted. K xx

Thrill me . . . Kill me . . . Well, kinda . . . Titillate me . . . You did all three with this offering, Eileen . . . The killing part was the depth with which your words grabbed me . . . Good.

Eileen

You have penned a highly visual and dynamic construct that does both Halloween and the Universe proud..

A double whammy of epic proportions..

And you always obtain the most thrilling graphics..

An adult haunting for the Halloween what a unique idea. I always think about Halloween from a child's point of view, but to be honest, that stuff doesn't scare me anymore, however...your poem does. Nice work, Eileen, you have taken Halloween's haunting to a new level.
Take care,
Sherry
