I'm having some eye problems and have

been advised to give them a rest. Sorry, but .

I'll not be reading or commenting for awhile.

You all will be missed

I leave you with this poem;-)

Illusions

Somethings in life are never gratified

take illusions,they don't get satisfied

they float like molecules in the air

we breathe them in they're always there

They ride like floaters in our eyes

showing up on occasion to surprise

they are bits of hopes, wishes, and dreams

sometimes with intensity they gleam

We spend far too much time pursuing

this deception we will never be doing

illusions will never come to fruition

they are just part of the human condition

Dreams are different something that's good to do

but illusions are captivating spells to deceive you

because the two are separated by only a thin line

we need to be careful knowing how to define~

Oh Eileen, I am so sorry that I did not get to read this sooner. Don't even know how I could have missed it, but I do understand completely. I am already completely blind in one eye and the other is slowly following in suit. The reason why Robert does much of my reading for me. Think I have had about 30 - 35 surgeries to date, but my problems are persistent. I truely pray you will be okay and I will keep you in my prayers.....

Be always safe,
Karen

Well, I see you are back, and I am glad! "Illusions" is so correctly (and nicely) expressed. Good work, as usual. I hope your eye problem is not chronic nor critical. If I could no longer read, it would surely be the end of me. My best prayers to you!

Excellent, Eileen... and, funnily enough, I have just written about this exact thing... but from which side of that line I'm not entirely sure! :)) Take care of those eyes... you only have the one pair and no amount of glasses can compensate. I can sympathise a little... my sight seems totally all over the place at the moment. And how disorientating it all is. Rest up and be back soon. xx

Eileen, excellent advice! Most definitely a difference between dream and illusions. Illusions are lies, whether we tell them to ourselves or are deceived into believing things that aren't ever going to be true. Thamks for reminding us to always keep our guard up.

I wish you a speedy recovery. Be well.

Eileen,
Take care of your eyes and I hope they are rested, soon. I went through about a month and a half of having to be tested for the threat of glaucoma, late last year into early this year. The thought of losing sight is a scary idea for writers, especially at my age.
Hurry back, but not too soon to cause further eye issues.

All the best. We'll miss you,
Jill
