Anybody yet found out that my rights end where the next man's start?
If I burn the car of my neighbor protesting for its pollution I will be punished for vandalism, but if I burn Old Glory that's a freedom of speech satatement?
Are we crazy? or what!

Your last line speaks volumes.
When I was a teenager I had the privilege of participating in a ceremony to retire a worn Old Glory... Watching that flag burn seared its image into my mind. It helped me realize just how much that symbol means to me.

I really like this. The last sentence is what really
tops it off really good, " unafraid to let a few
show their ignorance. " This is the true spirit of
America.

| That's exactly why we have the First Amendment--no one needs to desecrate our Flag in this country to speak free. We already have that right and that's why it is the FIRST amendment. That's what our Flag stands for and we fight for. You remind us that people often forget that the Founding Fathers got the perfect order; Its all there... |

Wonderfully Patriotic and sincerely written, with optimism and truth running throughout. Yes this is what FREEDOM is and may it continue forever more. Our flag flies every day from dawn to dusk and a tribute to our troops is displayed in our living room window until the day comes when each one returns home....
Be always safe,

Eileen,
Beautifully penned - too many have sacrificed for that flag - we better give it the respect and honor it deserves, as you've done here - thank you for remembering. Well done.

| A duty to our country is to honor the flag. It was made during the civil war days by Betsy Ross and should love wave over the USA and be respected too. Ignorance is for the few who were not raised right to respect anything or anyone. |
