| BRILLIANT, Eileen... such an apt analogy and metaphor: I could really feel this, the bubbles in the chipped glass gone dead flat. Fabulous stream of consciousness here. It's hard to say, but think this is one of your best, in my opinion. Great capture and well sustained. xx |

Sometimes we go around reading, commenting, reviewing, like greeting a know face, a voice heard before, a hand writing on our wall, and then...you come across with a delicate pearl of a poem to surprise us with such a delight.
Thanks

Powerful poem, Eileen. Hopefully this is a sensitive soul's observation of other's collective pain and not yours. Just realized--this is a jazz poem! Begs to be read aloud. Stunning imagery!!

Eileen,
Beautiful writing sustained my bright, delicate, relevant imagery, but the last three lines suggest another mood and tone, a darkness in the heart, shades of disappointment. Fine poem.

Don't know of any one who can master the descriptive lingo that you portray in a poem that should be posted where it can get critical acclaim and shine on the poetic brilliance of our master poet Eileen outside of all of us who know her brilliance already here in our little den. Bravo Eileen for yet another poetic gem for the ages. A keeper for sure.
Many hugs,
George |
