The morning sun had set
now the night would beget
the sparkling stars that shine
speaking to this heart of mine

Where art thou Lord of dreams
I watch the ethereal streams of
haunted souls go by bringing
tears to my eyes for all of their
needs

For I am not content until I get
consent to enter the depths of
discernment to learn the measure
of your design so that you may
define my deeds

The systems of the world are meeting
manic minds  scheming  to  lay waste
causing hell in haste,  as the  liars who
live in lairs , can't get away from the
truths they fear, minds now lost

At what cost, the ignorant and numb
rely on the common sense of some
to save them from, the trials that lie
before us hoping to stem the evil course,
while they just find a place to play

Must the past be repeated, by the
indifferent who will retreat, allowing
things to pass them by, without even
trying to understand that our
nightmares have become a reality

Great poetic reasoning and treatise here, Eileen. We inhabit a world of lost minds, fuelled by our own personal greed, self-interest and pursuit of success and happiness. Pure and simple... who cares what world leaders are up to as long as I can hit the shopping mall on Saturday or the Big Game on Sunday (so to speak!)???? Such is the rat(on-the-sinking-ship)race we have created, striving for more more MORE of the same old crap, refined, updated and faster. Pink Floyd's lunatics are everywhere and the more you listen to 60s and 70s song lyrics, the more you realise just how prophetic they were, though envisioned through a psychedelic haze. This must now classify as the worst Bad Trip experienced on a global scale... Still, as Mother Teresa knew and acted upon, the tide is turned drop by drop and we can only affect those drops nearest us - but make a ripple we surely must (and do... for good or bad...) Enough from me - plenty to think about from you, as per u! :)) xx

our only chance for survival is the spiritual energy from those of this world but not from within it ...

Reviewed by JASMIN HORST SEILER
This is said in a most premonitious fashion, and well spoken too, a poem of spirit crying for help, it gnaws at the soul, for it has so much truth and passion. It will be a long way from dust, or the burning bowl, back to humanity, it might never happen, and that might be the best, for all those that survive us, if any.

Eileen,
This has great truth about the directions we've taken, the paths chosen, and I'm with you in spirit, sharing the disillusionment.Well said!

the future is created in the moment of today, what we experience was created yesterday...we have the power to evolve and the nightmares will cease

The present state of affairs is only the tip of the iceberg and we have lost control of our lives to those runing the Country. Yep 52% gave complete control to one party and their lust for power knows no bounds. Bravo for such an enlightening write.

The world has become a world of lost minds who don't know what the f... they are doing. Nero is fiddlin', as Jerry Bolton says....God help us all! Excellent write, Eileen; well done!

Could not be more eloquently stated, my dear friend. This is a plea/prayer sent in the hopes of rescuing the world, for I feel deep within that the world is soon to be unbelievably evil. It is close, very close to the no turning back point. I am seventy years old last April, and I feel that if I live another ten years I will see it. We will have gone from the innocence of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" to "Nightmare on Pennsylvania Avenue."
