From out of a cloud He reined over me
Made me  open my eyes
Warmly thundering my name out loud
Such a lovely surprise

Sprinkling stardust over me like rain
The feeling was sublime
Happy with the  knowledge I gain
Being with the Divine

Gentle Lightning aroused my spirit
Thunder stirred my soul
Winds of wisdom were my profit
Sharing His love my goal

The storm abated leaving peace
Calm remained in its place
The gift of a Saviour without cease
With love lighting His face

The world that's filled with so much strife
Could be much more serene
We would weather the storms of life
Keeping God on the scene

This is fine writing, Eileen;
it has the quality of thought and expression of Newman,
it is elevating prayer.

Stormy weather
You're together
Surprise he called your name
Soul though stirred
Yet undeterred
In his service
You remain

Blessings, Patrick

Your house built on the Rock will stand in the storm
Not by opinion form
But by His mercy and grace
Keeping an eye out for a better place

Fine piece here.
Indeed, if we all sought God, by whatever name one chooses, it would kill the ego and mankind would grow closer.

I have no doubt, my friend, but where He makes thing serene Allah is kicking ass. Don't take this wrong, but the world has managed to aid and abet a monster which goes by the name of a "religion of peace." Grrr
