All The Yesterdays, We've Missed
Here you are in the mist of my computer, No longer a stranger, but where you belong, Someone I wish I had known my life, Now all the yesterdays, we've missed are gone. We'll start a new beginning, A new beginning, become a close friend, With all the tomorrows ahead of us, We'll make sure that there is no end. What were you like as a kid, as a teen, How did you do in your school, Were you in sports, did girls chase you, I picture you now, I know you were cool. Did you go to the dance, a girl on each hand, Did the guys envy you, for your way, Were you shy, or quick and witty, As you grew with each passing day. I know all the yesterdays, We've missed, I should let it go, forever let it be, But I can't seem to accept the fact, That my family, was kept from me. I feel I've been cheated, I feel denied, For I can't turn back the time, I can't get the years that I've missed, Can't get the thought out of my mind, We are cousins, I know we'll be friends, There's nothing to get in our way, Now that we've met on the computer, We can chat almost everyday. We'll make up for all the yesterdays, We'll make up with tomorrows each day, We'll become closer each time we chat, And let nothing get in our way. We'll grow as we get to know, Things about each other's life, Sharing information about family, Me of my husband and you of your wife. I'll share little secrets that family only know, And you'll share some with me, We'll fill in all the yesterdays, gone, Just you wait and see.
