A Conversation With two hearts

After reading a poem written by Fee the other day my fingers led me to this one. Hope it makes some kind of since. It is one person asking why and the other trying to answer.

A Conversation With Two hearts

Why did you break my heart into?
Because our love was never true .

I though your love was just for me.
I couldn’t give what wasn't free.

That look you gave so willingly.
I say again, it wasn’t meant to be.

We can forget she has your heart.
But my love for her cannot part.

I believed every word you had to say.
That’s how a man gets his own way..

But you cheated & openly lied to her face.
But weakness at your sight made my heart race.

How could you hurt a love so strong?

You & I never did belong.

So now you’ll leave me here to shed a tear.
Deep inside I just don’t care.

You think her love for you is true

It's a love that's given to only a few.

How will I know when love is true ?
When it’s the one that’s meant for you.

How can I freely open up my heart again?
When love comes from a true caring man.

I’ll fear that another will break my heart in two.
Not if it is a love that’s truly  meant for you.

I’m sorry that I hurt you so, I mean that from my heart.
Then I guess it’s best as friends, that we now part.

Sadly, too many will understand this having been the broken-hearted. It just hurts so badly when someone we trust and someone we 'think' loves us betrays us and that love was false. The pain can be unimaginable. Nicely captured emotion, Rose. Hugs, Elizabeth

PERFECT!
Rose you spoke the hearts of two, in confusion but steeped in love so well, Or so to speak!
I would rather know the truth than be lead around in pain, lies and fantasy!
I love the way you decided to darken and lighten the sentences and the style in which you chose too!
Unique poem felt strongly!
WRITE ON!

P.S. I can feel the poem from Sweet Fee, that stroked your pen in this direction! Ahhh

I say hurt me with the truth
rather than destroy me with a lie...so letting go of false love is better than holding the daggars of it's lie
No-one deserse to hold the arms of another who does not love
this is a wonderful poem you have penned Rose
there is wonderful messages of insight inside

Love the origianality of this one Cuz and the earnest talk between two hearts instead of two lovers. Love does come in many way, shapes and forms and often our hearts do not allow us to decide who we love or dont' love but when we love wrong, to have the wisdom to go on without hate and anger is what makes even those loves...sweet memories.

Rose,

Lack of communication in these lines: he said, she said, that kind of thing ... but the ending gives hope that two hearts can beat as one. Effectively penned, well done.
