One day it's there and the next it is slashed in half.
By Rose Marie Rideout
50% Love from each is all we get,
In return we give 50%regret.
A very fine line they say,
Between love and hate each day.
Happiness and anger,
All the hurt and pain,
Sickness and heartaches,
Tell me what do we gain.
50% is that what we work for,
To watch one walk out the door.
50% loneliness and nothing more,
All from two that once did adore,
Give it your all
Give it more than 110%
Live happy in love forever,
That’s how it’s meant.
Life is only today,
Tomorrow’s it’s gone.
One or the other
Isn’t where they belong.
One’s said goodbye, before their time,
The other now lonely, left behind,
The 110 is no longer what it meant,
It just got slashed to 50%.

|You capture the loss of love so well, it was once said that "it is better to have loved and lost then never to have loved at all"and I truly believe this. You see although it many hurt when love fades away or ends abrubtly it is still the memories that count.

|Rose, such wise words of advice, I did give 100% and that wasn't enough...I am the one left behind and lonely, but you know now I give 110% to being healthy and happy and spending time with my grandson...
Love this poem.
Peace, love and light,
