Often people find they are so much in love , they wonder how they've come to deserve what they have. I am one of them.

Tell Me Why
September 13, 2011
By Rose Marie Rideout

In the dark of the night I watch you,
I catch the tears as they fall,
I wonder my darling how I got you
Now if only you can tell me all.
Tell me what do you see in me,
Tell me darling what it is I’ve done,
Save the tears that I cry,
Come on Darling just tell me why.

Tell me why I deserve you,
Tell me why it’s me you’ve come to choose,
Tell me why you love me honey
Come on Baby, just tell why.
You could have had anyone,
Some bright as the stars above,
So let’s be honest with each other,
How its it, that I've won your love.

I know it can’t be good,
When I shed the tears I hide away,
But I believe in true happiness,
And our love grows more each day.
Just tell me what you see in me,
Tell me what it is I’ve done,
Help save the tears I cry,
Tell me why I am the one.

Rosie, my first time to your site. Your poem grabbed me in the heart and I had to respond to it. Many wonder why they are chosen, others know, but I think it is such a blessing when two people meet and connect in body and spirit... many times to be as one. May your relationship be perfect in every way and may you be blessed and happy. I will be back to read more of your poetry.
