I will never get tired of looking at the beauty that surrounds us. It has to make us smile.

The World We Live In

September 17, 2012
By Rose Marie Rideout

I look up at the stars and I dream,
I feel a twinkle in my eye,
Something magical about me.

I hear a slight sound far in the distance,
My heart feels as though it is in a race,
It’s thunder, fierce yet tender.

Lighting chases it,
As though it were taking photos of me,
Me so far away in my own little world.

I watch the clouds as they change;
I continue to search for little creatures,
As I giggle to myself, as though I were a kid.

Ahh feel that breeze, it tickles my nose,
stands the hair up on my arm,
Takes me back to the days when I was a kid,
laying on a blanket, feeling the same old way,
Happy and thankful for all that’s given us.
In this world we live in.

Amen, Rose! I can relate to every word of this and I love the way you have expressed it. We certainly are at one with the natural world around us and no mistake, gleaning a sense of eternity and our place within it from that intimacy. Effortlessly beautiful work. xx

Dear Rose, many do not appreciate or do not feel the love that brought us into the world we live in. Doesn't matter how the world is and will be, we have to be always happy in this world we live in. Dear Rose, you have feelings which are your guidance today.Love Emile
