Facing the wind
they run
from their own hostility
misunderstanding it for doctrines
ancient as their genes.
Billboard happiness
encloses the paths within
erecting barbwire fantasies
painted like Cocteau eyes
remodeled Geisha lips
to hide the truth of a smile
from fearful XY's
exceedingly anguished
by the power of an encompassing womb.

Here I stand
at the crossroads (for a minute)
I admire the choices I have
... and keep moving.
In the wind
they run
from delusional visions
of monsters within...
I'm sad for them,
happy for me.

Eolian signs of life
I seek
immobility is a moment
fighting against the storm
a weakness
while gliding on the air flow
of life
is rekindled truth
unlocked by nature
.

Awesome. Keep up the fight to have your options and don't let nay sayers take them away. You are strength, itself. Excellent. Liz

great verse, and I can relate, we should be happy when we defy the odds and maintain our smile, sense of humor and anything else positive

My fav verse is the second one,"I admire the choices I have
... and keep moving.
In the wind
they run
from delusional visions
of monsters within...
I'm sad for them,
happy for me."

Reading this, I can't help but picture clouds in my mind-- scurrying across the sky-- forming images, and then tearing them apart in their hurry to flee. So I was glad to read "Eolian signs of life I seek" near the end.

I Loved "painted like Cocteau eyes"!-- so visual... and meaningful too, because of his being a surrealist-- it adds a deep dimension to the piece.

You feel the rush of air across your mind, and then the peace of your admiring choices, and then the surreal rush again.

I had never thought of truth like this before-- I'd always thought of it as the thing that's immovable-- the thing that makes us strong if we stand with it against the winds of adversity.

This, on the other hand, makes me think of truth as a wind-- a powerful, whipping wind that exposes delusions, and stirs minds to chase their own fallacies. --an interesting take. But to ride the winds of truth, and to have your strengths made manifest would indeed be a remarkable occurrence. --Charlie
