Mustang Man

Got a 67 Mustang
Itís the only car I ever owned
In the seat I sprang
Gave gas the motor groaned

My hairs jet black with a tidal wave
Going downtown to cruse the pave
Feel right at home no better day
Rev the Mustang she wants to play

Dropped down to second bounced the rear end
Pulling into Joeís itís the message you got to send
My Mustang's fast best in the state
One or two glanced the rest hesitate

A stranger stands out like a pink Cadillac
The guy with the Chevy looks like heís back
I burn a doughnut to mark my space
When the Mustang calms heís gone no trace

On every finger I have a tattoo
F-o-r-d on my right
M-u-s-t holds the left
With the a-n-g canít figure what to do

Although I somehow thought this was gonna be a Cowboy poem by your title, it's very good. And let us know if you figure out where to put that A-N-G!

...great remembrance...sold my 1964 1/2 Mustang about 6 years ago...still miss it. Just wish they had kept the high octane gas needed to originally sport about...in such a fun car.
well done...

Enjoyed this brought a smile to my face...I can remember when I was a little girl my mom had a 67 Mustang, powder blue. Let me set the stage for you, she was a young divorced good looking single mother who drove a hot car! All the younger guys wanted to race her when we pulled up at a red light. I remember once her telling me to hold on tight....we left em in a cloud of dust....thanks my friend for sparking a memory I hadn't thought about in a long time....I think I'll call my mom!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Long rides short rides I really enjoy watching you drive
But the Mustang convertible was the best and you had fun the most
Don't be surprised when you see one on our driveway...
