Beside Still Waters

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters...

Every day has its own gift.(Lounsbury)

There are whispers of a lonesome song
It has shadows of your smiling face
Down that corridor to that fearsome throng
In a pyramid that’s a peeling vase
Full of sandstorms from a mummy’s vat
Long since forgot by a pharaohs bull
Left on mountains of a Golden hat
Sheep’s own shepherd has the sacred wool
Men are clothed in that paradises clone
Full of treasures from their manmade plays
And the children see that Kingdom throne
As Earth gives her own glorious days

Larry, can a poet become more mellow? or his the reader that become it after reading your poems?
This poem has mixed fragrances, the musty odor that came from forgotten pharaohs vat with sandstorms from afar gardens and a maiden's smiles.
You were long is the time to pay your readers their dues in the form of your intelligent poetry.
Welcome back!
